SUWON, South Korea — Gyeonggi Province announced on the 6th that four climate tech startups based in the province have been selected as CES Innovation Award winners ahead of ‘CES 2026,’ the world’s largest information technology (IT) and consumer electronics trade show, set to take place in Las Vegas in January next year.

The winning companies — FirstLab, PM Energy Solution, Replah, and NineWatt — are startups that received accelerating programs and commercialization funding support from Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation last year and this year.
FirstLab, in particular, demonstrated its technological innovation by winning the CES Innovation Award for the second consecutive year in the ‘Construction & Industrial Technology’ category.
The company’s core technology — a solvent-free precision extraction equipment that precisely extracts materials without using chemical solvents by utilizing focused ultrasound technology — was recognized for its innovation.
PM Energy Solution won in the ‘Human Security for All, Sustainability & Energy Transition Products’ category with its smart deep cycle lithium battery technology for industrial equipment, while Replah received the award in the same category for its scanner technology that analyzes the material composition of recycled plastic flakes.
NineWatt won the CES Innovation Award in the ‘Smart Communities’ category for its artificial intelligence-based energy advisory technology for buildings.
Byun Sang-ki, Director of Gyeonggi Province’s Climate and Environment Policy Division, said, “This CES Innovation Award win is significant in that Gyeonggi Province’s climate tech companies have proven their competitiveness on the global stage,” adding, “We will continue to support climate tech startups in entering the global market and growing into unicorn companies.”
