PM Energy Solution’s battery product lineup
PM Energy Solution, led by CEO Hyun Deok-soo, is an industrial battery specialist established in July 2024 by veteran engineers with extensive expertise in the battery sector, including CEO Hyun, who has more than 25 years of experience in the industry.
Since its establishment, the company has focused on the research and development, production, sales, and related services of next-generation lithium battery solutions. PM Energy Solution aims to serve as a comprehensive solution provider by offering high-performance solutions across the industrial battery market at reasonable prices, helping customers reduce total cost of ownership, or TCO, and improve operational efficiency.
Despite its short operating history, PM Energy Solution has achieved remarkable results. In December 2024, the company began mass production of software update chargers for Hyundai Motor’s Bluehands service centers and obtained venture business certification, laying a solid foundation for business growth. In January 2025, it established a subsidiary in Hanoi, Vietnam, creating a foothold for global market expansion. In the same year, the company was recognized externally for its technological capabilities through its selection as a climate-tech startup, participation in the Early Startup Package program, and selection for the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund’s Little Penguin program.
Recently, PM Energy Solution also secured key technology for the next-generation battery market by registering patents, including a “grouping method based on the screening of reused batteries using an artificial intelligence model.” In recognition of this innovation, the company received the Digital Innovation Award in November 2025 and went on to win honors at CES 2026, the world’s largest IT exhibition, as well as the Edison Awards, further solidifying its position as a global energy solution company.

PM Energy Solution’s E-Moped battery
PM Energy Solution’s next-generation core product is its E-Moped battery pack, which applies AI-based cell screening technology. The product is a small-capacity lithium-ion battery solution developed to replace lead-acid batteries used in electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers, which are among the primary means of transportation in Southeast Asian countries such as Vietnam and Indonesia.
The product’s most distinctive competitive advantage lies in the efficient rebirth of used cylindrical batteries, or re-use cells. High-capacity cylindrical battery cells recovered from electric vehicles, including Tesla vehicles, are precisely diagnosed and grouped through the company’s proprietary AI screening method. This minimizes performance variation compared with new cells while enabling the product to be supplied at approximately 40 to 50 percent lower cost. As a result, the company realizes both the environmental value of resource circulation and outstanding price competitiveness.
In terms of technical specifications, the E-Moped battery delivers significant improvements over conventional lead-acid batteries. The product features a 50.4V 30Ah, 1.4kWh-class specification. Compared with existing lead-acid batteries weighing 28.8kg, it reduces weight by more than 66 percent to 10kg and improves volume by 25 percent, maximizing the driving efficiency of mobility equipment. It also shortens charging time from the previous 8 to 10 hours to 2.5 hours and extends lifespan by more than three times, with more than 2,000 cycles, significantly reducing customers’ total cost of ownership.
PM Energy Solution’s proprietary safety solutions are also integrated into the product. The E-Moped battery is equipped with a self-developed battery management system, or BMS, designed to meet the level of KC62619 functional safety certification, helping prevent fire risks in advance. In particular, the product includes a built-in fire pad, further strengthening the physical and chemical safety of the battery pack. In addition, an optional real-time monitoring system supporting CAN 2.0 and TCP/IP communication provides a smart operating environment that allows users to check battery status anytime, anywhere.
“The E-Moped battery is a product that integrates our technological capabilities across the entire battery lifecycle, from cell sourcing to mobility-specific design,” said CEO Hyun Deok-soo. “Through collaboration and demonstration evaluations with local partners, including Vietnamese motorcycle manufacturer Victoria, we aim to become a leading player in the Southeast Asian market for replacing lead-acid batteries.”

Hyun Deok-soo, CEO of PM Energy Solution
PM Energy Solution is widely recognized for its innovation both in Korea and abroad. Following its receipt of the 2025 Digital Innovation Award, the company achieved another milestone by winning an Innovation Award at CES 2026, the world’s largest IT exhibition, and was also named among the finalists for the Edison Awards.
The company is currently expanding its business in markets where conventional lead-acid batteries are being replaced by lithium batteries, including e-scooters, forklifts, energy storage systems, and starting batteries. Going forward, PM Energy Solution plans to broaden its business areas into drone battery packs and battery re-use solutions. With its Hanoi subsidiary serving as a base, the company is accelerating its entry into global markets and has already obtained QCVN91, a battery certification in Vietnam. This year, it is also engaged in full-scale discussions with Vietnamese E-Moped manufacturers and battery distributors to advance its business.
“As a true solution provider in the industrial battery market, we will deliver the best possible value to our customers,” said CEO Hyun. “Through achievements such as the CES 2026 Innovation Award and selection as a finalist for the Edison Awards, our technological capabilities are already beginning to gain recognition in the global market.”
He added, “Using our Vietnam subsidiary as a strategic base, we will expand our export network across Southeast Asia, including Indonesia and the Philippines, and grow into a global energy solution company.”
At the same time, CEO Hyun also addressed the realistic growth barriers faced by startups. “For early-stage startups to achieve full-scale revenue growth, not only corporate efforts but also policy-level support and practical assistance from the government are urgently needed,” he emphasized.
He further expressed his hope that “if government support serves as a catalyst, domestic startups will be able to secure a stable revenue base and further strengthen the competitiveness of K-batteries in the global market.”
